Beyonce Concert Sofi Stadium
On September 4th Labor Day 7 of us went out to stand against the wickedness promoted by Beyonce. This wicked women sold out Sofi Stadium for 5 days straight. I did get word that this event was covered by a different street preaching group prior which I praise God for, nevertheless the workers are still few. The majority of the attendees were women who were very conceited, proud, and dressed immodestly. Below are some picture of this ordeal.
Funny story, one of the brothers arrived fairly early and was preaching solo before we tagged along. A Christian lady named Maria who was working at Sofi as a cleaning lady, saw brother Pancho preaching by himself and felt compelled to call off work and stand with him. Later when we arrived Maria told us that whenever she sees a street preacher by themselves it is her practice to stand with them, because she knows the persecution street preachers face. Afterwards we gave her a ride home, since she had taken the bus to work. Her help was like that of Lydia in the book of Acts. We praise God for women of faith like these.
Philippians 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. KJV
An interesting incident that occurred was the police's interaction with us. We had already been preaching for about an hour when all of a sudden a parking enforcement officer comes up to us followed by two CHP officers. Their complaint was that we were standing on private property and using riotous words. Their main issue was with the word "whore" and "hell fire." We had preached at this location multiple times before without any issues. Mind you we were standing on a public sidewalk, however these officers where either misinformed or they had a personal vendetta against us. By God's grace they didn't shut us down completely, they allowed the banners to remain where they were, but told us that the amplification had to go across the street. Interestingly enough they did not tell all the vendors selling alcohol around us to go across the street, wonder why?
